The original net animation series Downtown Warriors Beta*Burst is based on the beat'em up otome video game of the same title. An original net animation series adaptation was announced on May 15, 2019 in Japan's Reiwa period. The series is directed by Tatsufumi Itou (Symphogear) and written by Megumi Aramaki, with co-animation by LittleLulu Studio and Tatsunoko Production. Emiko Miyamoto (Maho Girls Pretty Cure!) provides Masaru Fujiya's character designs. The anime premiered July, 2019, and is streaming on LittleLulu Animanga Network and Netflix programming block. The opening theme song is "NEVER -Burst*Fusion-" by YOFFY. Each episode features 3 different ending theme songs: "Unrequited Love Dreamer" (片思いDreamer Kataomoi Dorīmā?) by Asuka Kobayashi (Atsushi Tamaru) and Cheung Hua Feng (KENN) which is used for the episodes 1 - 4, "Hey You! Love You!!" (ねえ! Love You!! Nē! Love You!!?) by Yeon Sungha (Satoshi Hino) and Niran Boonyasak (Yuichi Iguchi) which is used for the episodes 5 - 8, and "Our Little Heart" (ぼくらの小さなココロ Bokura no Chīsana Kokoro?) by Asuka Kobayashi, Cheung Hua Feng, Yeon Sungha and Niran Boonyasak which is used for the episodes 9 - 12.

| in 2022, the once peaceful life in Morimachi Town has been taken over by a criminal syndicate named (Skull Abyss), including factions of the FBI. In this place called Morimachi Federation Forces Bureau "abbreviated as MFFB", a top police forces who used the high-tech weapons to fend off enemies. The young spy agent Angie Polley is sent to the hidden base for investigation, but when she witnessing her parent's dead bodies. She being suddenly attacked by the masked man and erased all of her memories. After one month later, she tries to live a normal life, but the Skull Abyss' member and one of the Seven Reapers Kendrick the Red Chain chased after her in Morimachi Street in attempt to kidnapping her, but the four handsome Asian men saved her. Kendrick attacks them, but Asuka defeats him and then arrest him. Angie become frighten of men, but the man told her that he claimed to be the police chief of MFFB and looking for a skilled agent to help fight off against criminal syndicate because of mass violence is now common and no one is safe. Joined by the four handsome men: Asuka, Cheung, Sungha and Niran, she decided to trained more to fight and avenged her family death by Skull Abyss' leader. | |||

| Learning on what happen to her family, Angie and her allies went to the Inner City to collect more information about Skull Abyss' plans. There, she begin to know how to fight while is dating with Asuka at Miran Cafe. Suddenly they heard someone's scream and rushed too late to witnessing the man killed by Chandra the Blue Lotus, one of the Seven Reapers and member of Skull Abyss. Angie and her friends being to fight the thugs until the police officer Masaya Rakujima comes to their aids. Unfortunately to the MFFB, they're knocked out by Chandra and is about to finish them off, the police dog Ran attacks him, but overpowering him. Angie, seeing the poor dog get hurt, punches Chandra with uppercut, allowing Asuka and Cheung to defeat him and is arrested for murdering crime. Aftermath, Ran quickly recovered and become Angie'a pet dog after she treat his wound from Chandra's attack. Meanwhile, the mysterious leader is setting on his chair, feeling the light energy coming from Angie. | |||

| Solving the problems with Yeon, who want to get his sweetheart back from his rival, Angie and her friends goes to the back alley to clean it up from the thugs. After having arguing between Asuka and Yeon, Angie pissed off and takes them back to the back to washing all dishes. Meanwhile, one of the Seven Reapers, Marcellin the Green Giant, kidnaps the teenager to extract an information about Angie's whereabouts. Soon, a cowardly officer Seiya Asagami shows off and attempt to arrest Marcellin, but he freaks out and run away from the thugs. After Angie arrived to free the boy from the captivity, Marcellin grab her by hair, threaten to tear her apart. But suddenly, Yeon hit his skull and saves Angie before the team defeats and arrests him. Afterward, Yeon tells Angie about his prodigy behind the mask of sadness that his nemesis, treacherous taekwondo fighter Kim Hyun-Jun, kidnapping his sweetheart in respond for losing the match before he hugs and kissed on her neck passionately. Back to the base, Seiya apologized to the boss and swearing that he will do anything without showing his sight of fear. | Angie have a bad nightmare of her family murdered by Skull Abyss, but was conformed by youngest fighter Niran Boonyasak. Later, they headed to the Twilight Town for further investigation of mysterious haunted house in Theme Park. Angie and her allies enters the house, but she and Niran were scared of ghosts. After given some encouragement by Asuka, they managed to pass the test of courage and encounters with Adewale the Yellow Wild, one of the Seven Reapers. After defeat and arrest Adewale, someone is shows up, it was Diamond Damon, leader of the Skull Quarters, who said that the police team were corrupted to work under the master's behave. However, there is no match with him and warn them the three remaining member of the Seven Reapers were out there. After realizing that Sasuke the Dark One has escaped and is on the loose, the team were attacked by the pair of the members. But suddenly, Sasuke knock them out with sleeping gas and kidnaps Angie in order for ransoms. | |||

| Angie finds herself being held as hostage and is beaten up by Sasuke's gang. But the mysterious aura consumed her and pushed them away from her before she faints. Shortly after recovered, Angie heard Sasuke talking to his boss about shipping her. Learning a truth about the man behind her parent's murder, she managed to escape and is reunite with her allies, who knew what had happened to her and they were ready to search and obtain information about their leader's place. Going to the Kaguruma Shrine, they encounters Castor and Pollux, who warn them that Morimachi is in control for their master's plans. Just then, Sasuke shows up, urging them to hands over Angie so they could return Chief Myoudouin alive. But Angie's nightmare of her past life comes back and screams when the aura actives again, defeating the pair and attacks Sasuke. Sasuke told her that he lose his job when his brother is murdered by the man known as Diamond Damon, a professional wrestler. Before he can say anything, Castor and Pollux knock him out and held Angie as hostage, making Yeon to remember that Angie's scream is same way as his sweetheart's frightful noise when Skull Abyss kidnapping her. Losing control, Asuka kills both and rescued Angie, who scolded him for wasted a time before Asuke shut her up with a kiss. | Angie wake up from nightmare of her parent's death, but quickly collapse from being to weak to get up. Meanwhile, Diamond Damon scolded Sasuke for his failure of bringing Angie to his master and kills him for treason. The baron manages scheming plans to making people obeying him to join and start riot in Morimachi. Chief Myoudouin, survived from captivating, asking the boys to keep an eyes on the town before he and Officer Rakujima talk to Angie. Later, Myoudouin explains to Angie about her parent who works on the duties to save the town from Skull Abyss' leader before they worked to programming an androids resembles the human's behaviors. Until now before Angie takes her parent's place, suddenly Diamond Damon kills both of parent, knocks her out and absorbs all of her memories to use her for androids as mass destruction weapon. Shocking about a truth, Angie begs Asuka and the other to find her killer so she could restore her memories of her previous life. Now with no other choice but helping her, the team prepares to traveling to the leader's whereabouts, but only to find people wrecking the town while the other screaming and running in terror, wanting MFFB death. Soon, the group of Seven Reapers were escaped. Not wanting to be slain, Asuka takes Angie to the ship and tell Niran to keep his eye on her while the others are going after the leader. And so, Angie's journey to save Morimachi has just begun. | |||

| On the Silver Moon Ship, Angie and Niran investigating around the ship that Diamond Damon hosted the ball party. During dinner time, Niran said that he lost his parents in his village fire launched by Skull Abyss and his younger twin brother, Surat, has been disappeared. He told her that he was idolized her for being a fighter, but wishing to find his brother someday. On the way to wash her face, someone knock her out and she found herself later tied up in the ship's front. The man was turned out to be Surat, Niran's missing younger twin, who has been kidnapped by Skull Abyss during the massacre and say that he will going to make her screams when he was about to put the heated needle on her skin. But his plan was interrupted by Niran, who's know that Surat was alive and asked him in anger about who brainwashed him. Surat simply said that he joins Skull Abyss because he hold his hatred against him due for being better than him. After the brotherly battle on the ship, Niran was on the verge on it when Surat taunt him about long he fought to be a man. But Angie yells at him to stop, asking Surat to remember about the day he and Niran were trained together to become the muay thai champions. Surat slaps her, angered for telling him how long he loved Niran while he still hate him. Unfortunately, Surat's word made him to remember about the village massacre when Diamond Damon failed to obtain the sacred fangs of jaguar and ordering his army to slaughtering people in anger. Niran gets up and gives his brother a powerful Guillotine Jaguar Attack in his face. Losing to Niran, Surat said that he finally understanding what he say before he throwing himself off from the ship, telling Niran to be nice with people. Niran cries out his brother's name, but he failed to save him and start to cry after he lost his family and village. | After the moments of grief over losing Surat, Niran say goodbye and hoping to get revenge for murdering his family. Meanwhile, Angie found Cheung steals the weapons from the storage, he said that he's going to find his killer for murdering his girlfriend Shirley. Soon after entering the factory, they encounters with the thugs and defeats them. They then confronts Marcel Long, the wanted criminal who escaped from prison to join the Skull Abyss. Shocking in horror, Cheung recall the memories about the day Shirley sacrifice herself for him during China Town's outbreak. Marcel taunt him about how he failed to protect his beloved one while he still blamed for his lover's death. Angered, Cheung yells at him, saying that Marcel was responsibility for murdering his lover when he tries to kill him for treason. They're fighting each other, but Marcel's power overwhelmed Cheung and Angie takes him to the elevator. Cheung lamented himself because he was in love for Shirley and Marcel want to get her back when he used to work at restaurant. Angie told him it's fine and he should not to risk his life to protect her. Meeting Marcel again at mining hall, Cheung refused to believe that he blamed for Shirley's death and Marcel pointed at him for not wanting to save Angie last time before he attacks Cheung. But Angie protects him, making Cheung remember about the day he fell in love with Shirley and always sharing a romantic moments until her last words before her death. Feeling angry, Cheung saved Angie by unleash his powerful attack on Marcel, killing him. After Marcel's last word and died, Cheung said that he finally glad that Shirley's soul is still belongs to him and Angie ensures that he will be no longer his trauma anymore. | Minutes short after defeating Marcel, Angie and Cheung moved to where they're attacked by Skull Abyss guard, but only to be saved by Sungha. He said that he snuggling weapons from the factory in order to find and save his sweetheart Joo Sangmi. On their way to the Tower of Skull, they were halt by Kim Hyunjun, Sungha's rival who said that it's too late and he's going to getting married her by force. As the two fighting, Hyunjun is too fast than Sungha and knock him out. Sungha wakes up to find Angie has dragged him to safety place. She asks him why he want to save Sangmi. Sungha said that he arranged his marriage to his sweetheart since he won his match against Hyunjun. But he don't blame himself for her after Hyunjun kidnapped Sangmi. Shortly after reaching to the tower, Sungha found Hyunjun holding Sangmi as a hostage, urging to leave her alone or he will kill her, sending Angie's aura on her spine and attacks Hyunjun, releasing Sangmi. But Hyunjun knock her out and attempt to gets Sangmi back. But Sungha unleashes his Phoenix Kick on Hyunjun, defeating him. Sangmi apologized to him that she should never trust Hyunjun's order and want to be with him. Before the three could return, someone shoots Sangmi in her heart. Sangmi let out a last scream and died in Sungha without saying any word. Blowing in hysterical mood, Sungha screams and kills Hyunjun, who believes he killed her. After that, Sungha blamed himself for his fail and coward, he throws his lover into the sea and mourning in sadness over her death. Angie blames herself for not controlling her emotions and say she will be by Sungha's side. Her words lets Sungha recovered from sadness and the two kissed together. Meanwhile, Asuka heard someone's scream and run over there to find his master died, much to his horror. | |||

| As everyone regroup together, they found Asuka mourning over his master. Upon learning that Kiryu Tsutsumi, Asuka's classmate, killed his father in revenge, they headed to underground area to find and stop Diamond Damon from committing bloodshed. Soon, Angie is knocked out by Kiryu and dragged her away. She wakes up to find herself tied up and Diamond Damon said that Baron has finally want to meet her after long time since he killed her parents during her patrol. Kiryu planned to brainwashing her into joining their boss, but the plan has interrupted by Asuka. Kiryu said that he killed his father because of him, he was locked in the basement for 8 years ago by him after his mother's death for his rotten attitude. When the Skull Abyss attacking the dojo, Kiryu has been released to kills his father with one blow to expand his revenge against Asuka. As the two fights, Damon uses monitor on Asuka to losing control of his sanity, causes to him to kill Damon and attacks his friends. Angie screams at him to stop and Asuka starts to remember about the day he and Kiryu were trained. He finally snapped out and defeats Kiryu. Asuka apologize her for nothing making wrong because he fell in love with her, making everyone shocked. Soon, Angie said he wasn't blamed for his master's death and say she glad that Asuka is her lover for now on and they meet in a passionate kiss. Meanwhile, Baron Heinrich prepare to launch the virus system on electronic devices and to take over Morimachi at all cost. | |||
