Beard The Lion in his Den is a case featured in Criminal Case Third Line: World Dominant, appearing as the 39th case of the game. It is the second case set in Africa.

Plot

Anabel and the player headed to Nairobi National Park after nightfall on Chief Fowler's orders. However, they found dome chief of security Brian Faneva eaten alive by the lions inside the den next to the elephant graves. The Bureau was given a twelve-hour investigation period per Judge Palamo's negotiation with Yuila Chadov, who accused Anabel of the murder after catching her standing over the body. Additionally, Stephanie put Kevin on the case instead.

The five people were labelled as suspects: Yulia Chadov (SoftCircle CEO), Toby Newhouse (ecologist), Tendaji Baharia (wildlife ranger), Niara Ndungu (Maasai woman), and Ronald Onyango (bureaucrat).

While searching for investigations, Kevin and the player found the map of the worldwide that Veronavirus being spread across it. It was turned out that The Pride, the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins, has ordering The Glutton to improve the virus that inummed against Solaravir. Suddenly, the Silence Slayer releases the lions to attack them. The player uses the meat to feed on them and the pair escape from the den.

Mid-investigation, Kevin and the player suspected that Silence Slayer was spying on them from Savanna Camps. Later, Yuila shortened her deadline, giving them only three hours to finish the investigation. Despite the time pressure, the team was able to incarcerate wildlife ranger Tendaji Baharia for the murder.

Upon admitting to the murder, Tendaji said that he felt that the lions are sicks and need to have inumme against Veronavirus. That night, he sneaking inside the National Park's fort to steal Solaravir from the lab, but he was caught by Brian, who threaten him to imprisonment for stealing medicines. To stop him from getting arrested, Tendaji hits Brian with hammer and drags him to the lion's den to feed the lions on him alive. Judge Palamo sentenced him to 25 years in prison, with mandatory counseling, and removed all charges against Anabel.

During Reap What One Sows (3/6), Kevin and the player found a box of pills in the National Park. Per Glenda's last analysis of a core shield, the pills was made of the (previously theoretical) Mazundian Anteater. After ecologist Toby Newhouse let slip that they injected a rabbit with Solaravir, the Bureau found the rabbit in the lion's den. Glenda told the player that the Solaravir had suppressed the rabbit's immune system against virus. Knowing that the Sunbird Seeds had also been able to heal the human (per Hao's previous analysis of a radiation sample), Glenda concluded that Novela Verona MK-II had two opposing effects: enhancement and suppression of virus' immune against all vaccines.

Meanwhile, Hisao and the player found SoftCircle's notes on Abel Davis during his application interview in order to get Hao to stop pushing him away to cope with Ernest's Death and Glenda's retirement. After all the events, Chief Fowler promoted Hao to Lab Chief shortly afte Glenda left the Bureau. He also told the team that they needed to find proof of The Glutton's plan intent to cope with the Novela Veronavirus and that they were not to alert the press regarding their findings under the fortress. The Bureau then headed to Congo to bring The Glutton down.
