Channel - The Day That Teppei Give Up for Being Defender? (CHANNEL 鉄平がディフェンダーとして諦めた日? CHANNEL Teppei ga Difendā to Shite Akirameta Hi??) is the 16th episode of Gladiator of Field AceStriker.
Summary
Teppei gives up his football career as defender after being criticized and reminded of his normal status. But after a talk from Miyuki, he begins to reconsider.
Synopsis
After finishing his training with Gosei Bakunetsu before World Cup Tournament, Teppei wonder if he could continue his football career, because he already has found normal job as hotel clerk. The next day, Miyuki talks to Teppei about his career, she tells him that he did not put his best as defender, she claimed to him that it was not that he was an AceStriker, not he had normal life. This surprised Teppei and then decided to quit. Much to his friends' shock, they make plans to make him play again, however their plans fail.
One day, Ryoma and Teppei talks about it, and Miyuki hears that Teppei was avoiding his advice, while talking more, both of them hear voices of crowd coming from the field, and rush to go there. While going, Victor give Teppei the Ebony Crest which could produce an earth-elemental protection. Once Teppei used it, he talked with his father, who told him that his football career makes him better. Teppei then decided to continue his career and then continued to go to the place where Peina targets Viridian Midorikusa's player Rui Tada to create a B-Class Haisha monster Shiryou.
While going there, Teppei transformed, and paired up with Merry Striker, he charged up his Saint Gauge and performs the secondary attacks, allowing them to purifying Shiryou. But upon enlarging Shiryou alongside Testament army, StrikerOh Lionheart uses Tusk Driller to smash Shiryou's shield. Thanks to Miyuki's advice, Teppei then weaken it with own wrestling skills, leading StrikerOh Lionheart to destroy him once again.
After everything was normal, Teppei went to the field with Gosei Bakunetsu team as he thanked everyone. Victor scans and brings forth a third piece of black Garou shard as reward for returning Teppei to his football career.

- Teppei grants Ebony Crest that allowed to connection with his family via Strike Tracker.
- The reason of Teppei's retire from soccer career is helping family at inn, but he later returns to playing football after Miyuki gives him an encouragement.
- Teppei gains Black Garou Shard from his family's picture as reward for returning for soccer career.
